The Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce Community Enrichment Foundation is seeking applications for the Career and Technical Scholarship for Macon County students.

The scholarship was created to assist students seeking to earn certification for trades such as construction, plumbing, electricians, auto mechanics, welding, computer technology, culinary, CNA and other health related certifications.

Applications are available through the guidance counselors at Franklin High School, Macon Early College, Nantahala School and at the Chamber of Commerce.

Since 2019, 15 FHS graduating students have been helped with scholarship totaling $12,000.
