At first glance, Noah’s Nearly New Boutique looks like just another charming second-hand shop. However, behind every like-new sweater, vintage find, pair of designer jeans, or piece of original art is a much bigger mission: saving lives.
Noah’s Nearly New Boutique was created to support the work of Noah’s Ark Humane Society. Since 2004, this grassroots nonprofit has worked to ensure that no one in the community has to give up a beloved pet due to financial hardship. Every dollar spent in the boutique goes toward helping provide low-cost veterinary services, spay/neuter surgeries, and rescue support to animals and families in need.
The boutique opened its doors in late April with a simple idea: shopping can be a form of service. We wanted to create a space that was joyful, affordable, and mission-driven — a place where people could find nearly new, carefully curated fashion, jewelry, art, and housewares at a fraction of the original price, while helping the community at the same time.
What sets Noah’s Nearly New Boutique apart is not just what we sell, but what we stand for. Our shoppers discover high-end and designer clothing at incredible value, while also making environmentally conscious choices. Buying second-hand keeps beautiful clothing out of landfills and gives it a second life — just like the pets we work so hard to protect.
And it doesn’t stop there. Proceeds from the boutique help fuel the activities of the Snippet Bus, which offers affordable spay/neuter services to pet owners of all income levels, with no eligibility barriers. Boutique revenue also helps us support local shelter partners by sponsoring transports to rescue organizations in areas where adoption demand is higher.

Tackling the problem
Pet overpopulation is a crisis in our community. To combat this crisis, Noah’s Ark Humane Society has launched an exciting incentive to encourage more families to spay or neuter their pets before even one litter is born. Now through Labor Day, owners of every pet sterilized on the Snippet Bus earns a chance to win $1,000 in our Fix a Pet, Fetch $1,000 lottery. And because local shelters are overflowing with pit bulls and hounds, pet owners who bring in one of these breeds will receive two entries. A winner will be drawn Labor Day weekend.
Surgeries take place on the Snippet Bus, a mobile surgical suite permanently stationed in Franklin. The Snippet Bus makes low-cost spay/neuter available for all dogs and cats, with no income restrictions.
We’re not just offering affordable services — we’re offering choices and incentive. We hope this $1,000 prize gives people one more reason to step up and do what’s right for their pets and our community.
In fact, doing what’s right for animals is what Noah’s Ark Humane Society is all about. Noah’s Ark Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Franklin. The goal is to work to keep pets with the families who love them. Since 2004, we’ve worked to help low-income families access essential vet care and reduce pet overpopulation through affordable spay/neuter. Not only is our Snippet Bus available to anyone looking to be a part of the solution to pet overpopulation, but we also support our local shelters by preparing shelter pets for transports to adoption partners up North — giving more animals a second chance at life.
So, that is why our Noah’s Nearly New Boutique is so important. Patrons who shop there support our efforts. And, it is interesting to see how the Boutique has become a hub of generosity and connection. Our volunteers, donors, and shoppers aren’t just browsing – they’re part of a grassroots effort to protect animals and build a kinder, more compassionate community.
