The Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed several new chamber members to the business community with ribbon-cutting ceremonies.
Down the Rabbit Hole
The Franklin Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony at Down the Rabbit Hole (pictured above) located at 5040 Highlands Road, marking the grand opening of Franklin’s newest creative marketplace and gathering spot. Down the Rabbit Hole is home to more than 50 of Franklin’s crafters and artisans. This unique venue offers handmade goods, art, classes, and a welcoming space for connection.
It is also a place for local creators to launch small businesses without high commissions and for community members to discover and support local talent.
“Down the Rabbit Hole is about our community,” said owner Cathy Denaro. “It’s a place where creativity, connection and kindness come together under one roof.”
Down the Rabbit Hole is open 7 days a week, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sol & Son Dual Language Academy
The Franklin Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Sol & Son Dual Language Academy to celebrate a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its inaugural school year. This community celebration marked the opening of a unique, Christ-centered, bilingual school focused on immersive Spanish/English education for young learners. Sol & Son DLA is located in the lower level of Franklin First Assembly on East Main Street.

Sol & Son DLA will open its doors this August to pre-K, kindergarten, and 1st grade students, with plans to expand each year into a full K-8 program. The school is open to both English and Spanish-speaking students, welcoming families who want their children to grow academically, spiritually, and culturally in a bilingual environment.
“Immersion is teaching all subjects in the target language of Spanish, where children will learn Spanish naturally – just as if they were stepping into a school in Latin America – while still getting the benefit of English immersion in our community,’ said Kelsey Parrish, founder and executive director.
Interested families are encouraged to contact Kelsey Parrish at (828)421-5268 for enrollment details or to schedule a visit. Visit the school’s website at www.SolandSonDLA.com for additional information.
ElemenTree Therapy Associates
The Franklin Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting celebrating the grand opening of ElemenTree Therapy Associates in their new location at 133 East Palmer Street, Suite 101. The owner and director, Tara Cortopassi, has nearly 30 years of experience working with children with autism and their families.

After opening and operating a successful therapy center and private school for children with autism in Southwest Florida, Cortopassi moved to Franklin and is excited about bringing quality ABA services to the families of Western North Carolina. She is certified as a speech and language pathologist, and board-certified behavior analyst and offers play-based therapies in their new location. Services are dependent on the child’s needs and may include part-time or full-time therapy schedules at no cost to parents as most insurances cover ABA services.
For more information on how to receive services or to become a registered behavior technician, contact ElemenTree Therapy associates at www.ElementreeTherapy.com; (828)332-8183; or, [email protected].
