Lake Emory Dam a huge asset to the town

Letter to the Editor

I was completely appalled by the article about removing Lake Emory Dam. Lake Emory is a huge asset to the town of Franklin. Local business, recreational opportunities, controlled water flow, sediment control, and of course, hydro power. Modern environmentalists refuse to acknowledge that hydro is one of the best clean power sources out there. With higher demands on our power grid, we need greener alternatives like hydro power that provide so much useful recreation and enjoyment to people.

I welcome making voices heard in the most obnoxious way possible at any future upcoming meetings regarding the delusional thought of removing the dam. The county board of commissioners is doing what government does best, wasting tax money.
