Tourism Development Authority meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Town Hall board room, 95 East Main Street, Franklin. The next scheduled meeting will be held April 14, 2025. At the March 10 meeting, the board voted on applications for fund requests. It agreed to give the Smoky Mountain Pregnancy Center $3,000 for the Sweet Carolina Music Festival, May 3. Plus, the request by the Scottish Tartan Museum for $1,525 for National Tartan Day, April 5, was approved.
The Macon County Board of Commissioners holds one regular meeting a month on the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. Meetings are held in the Commissioners Board Room on the third floor of the Macon County Courthouse, 5 West Main Street, Franklin.
