Night to Shine 2025 was an absolutely wonderful night. Held once again in the beautiful Moss Valley Venue, everything about it was amazing. We had 120 honored guests, and with “buddies” and volunteers, the barn was hopping!

According to the Tim Tebow Foundation, founders of the worldwide, annual February event, “Night to Shine is a complimentary event for people with special needs hosted by local churches around the world. The event is open to anyone living with disabilities, ages 14 and older. Each event is unique to its location, but some cornerstone activities included across all of them are a red carpet entrance complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi, hair and makeup stations, shoeshines, limousine rides, karaoke, gifts, a catered dinner, a Sensory Room, a Respite Room for parents and caregivers, dancing, and a crowning ceremony where every guest is honored as a King or a Queen – the way God sees them each and every day.”

Despite several challenges throughout the year, namely Hurricane Helene and a few main volunteers’ family emergencies, when the night came it was all forgotten. Our theme was A Royal Ball, and every one of our guests were crowned “Kings” and “Queens” of the prom. There are so many people and businesses that came together to make this night a huge success, and we sincerely thank each and every one of them!
We had a professional decorator, Purplecow Event and Party Decor LLC, volunteer their services to ensure the decor was truly royal.
Our food was catered by Fat Buddies restaurant and was delicious. Tony Curtis and John Witherspoon were our DJs and spokespeople, and they announced our guests as they came down the red carpet.

Local promoter Dave Linn ran the karaoke tent, which was a hit. The Macon County Sheriff’s Department gave our guests rides in their police vehicles, and the smiles from that experience were priceless.
Our yummy cupcakes and cookies were provided by Carolina Cake and were delicious. Men’s Challenge of the Smokies residents came to help set up for the prom, and they also helped break it all down.
Also, some of Danny Antoine Martial Arts Academy students came to help.
The theme of the prom may have been a Royal Ball this year, but each year, the main theme focuses on how our God loves each one of our honored guests. Tim Tebow and his foundation stress this fact throughout the year and all that we do to put this event on annually.

Thank you to all who tirelessly do what you do to ensure this is the most beautiful night of the year for the “Kings” and “Queens” in this area.
