The historic columned house, across Wayah Street from Franklin High School, situated on what is referred to as the Higdon Property because of its original owners, is currently filled with construction activity. However, nothing at this time is being built or renovated on the Higdon Property for school use.
Instead, the property is utilized by Carroll Daniel Construction during construction of the new Franklin High School, expected to be completed by 2028. Future plans are for the Higdon Property to eventually serve various education needs.
