The Franklin Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of Firehouse Subs, located at 1305 Georgia Road, Suite G in the Georgia Road Ingles Shopping Center.
Firehouse Subs, offers high-quality meats, cheeses, and toppings. One sandwich, “Hook & Ladder® Sub,” for example, is made with Virginia honey ham, smoked turkey breast, and melted Monterey Jack cheese. In addition to great subs, Firehouse Subs has a Public Safety Foundation that provides lifesaving equipment, education, and support to first responders and public safety organizations. A portion of every purchase goes to this foundation, helping those who protect and serve the local community.
Franklin family David and Stacy Herman, along with their children Cody, Savannah, and MacKenzie are the owners of the franchise. The Hermans have lived, worked, and raised their family in Franklin for more than 20 years, and “they’re thrilled to bring their passion for subs and support for first responders to the area,” noted Cindy Cavender, the Chamber’s marketing director.
David, a retired deputy sheriff from Seminole County, Fla., and his daughter, Savannah, an active crime scene Investigator for Tallahassee Police Department, have deep roots in public safety and community service.
