When I read the first paragraph of the letter to the editor entitled “warning of endangerment,” [Nov. 21, 2024 edition] I felt the writer had captured the mood of the majority of American voters; that is, until the last three words, when he totally went off the rails, asserting that he was somehow more intelligent than anyone of the rest of us or all of us combined, and that we had gotten it all wrong.
Then, he continued the train wreck of his thinking by speaking highly of the former joint chief of staff, Mark Milley, hardly a person one might give serious credence to. General Milley committed what many people believe to be an act of treason when he contacted his Chinese communist, military equivalent, and assured him that, should the military plan a presumptive action on the Chinese forces, he, Milley, would notify the Chinese government of the battle plan, and then he bragged about doing so to the media!
It was the same General Milley who testified before the U.S. Congress, that he was “aboard “with the Woke agenda training and removed U.S. military commanders who refused to subject their personnel to anti-American and fascist propaganda that is part of the Woke program!
Most people attribute a demoralizing effect of general Milley’s endorsement of Wokism as the reason recruiting fell to the point where we did not meet the needs of our military branches to fill required personnel numbers.
Rather than raising a fearful noise of hysteria and hatred from the rooftops, they should be down on their knees thanking God for the peace and opportunities, not only for the United States, but for the world, that Donald Trump can bring as a result of his resounding approval in the 2024 presidential election.
