Benefit concert for CareNet Sunday, Dec. 9, First Presbyterian Church of Franklin will present its annual benefit concert for the Macon County Care Network Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m., in the church’s sanctuary at 26 Church Street in Franklin. The program will feature Mountain Voices, Linda Sterrett and Brasstown Ringers, Rev. Betsy Stow on the flute, Dan Williamson on the trumpet, the vocal talents of The White Sisters, and Frank Armato, the church’s music director, playing a variety of musical arrangements on the piano, keyboard and organ. The public is invited to attend this free concert. A love offering will be taken for CareNet and First Presbyterian Church will match all monetary donations up to $1,000, dollar-for-dollar. This concert raises funds and awareness for the Macon County Care Network as it continues to serve our neighbors in need by providing food and nurturing hope. The community is invited to come out to enjoy the concert and give generously to help feed the hungry in Macon County. A reception with cookies and cider will follow in Tartan Hall.
