I just picked up the most recent copy of Macon Sense. Kudos hardly expresses my appreciation for what you have created. I honestly don’t know the first thing about newspaper layout, and but this paper was so well put together and captured the significant events of the time – showing the wonderful aspects of what happened with the election.
And [the newspaper] showed the effects of the horrendous storm, and the ravaging of so many North Carolina towns. In one article, “This is not going away,” reminds us that we can all help in big and small ways. It’s too easy to believe that the government or churches, groups, whoever, is helping make the disaster go away. Never having experienced such a disaster, most people don’t know what is needed, where to go, and what to do that will make a difference.
[Deena C. Bouknight’s] articles were truly inspiring; [Macon Sense has] done what A1 writers would like to do – make a difference.
Thank you for all your efforts.
