Legislation with Effective Dates through Jan. 1, 2025
HB198, DOT Legislative Changes, an act to make changes to transportation laws, as recommended by the Department of Transportation. Sections 12-14, 17, 18 and 25 of HB198 are effective as of July1, 2024.
HB971, Human Trafficking Changes, an act directing the Department of Labor to develop human trafficking awareness training; requiring lodging establishments, accommodation facilitators, and property managers for vacation rentals to implement human trafficking awareness and more. Sections 9 and 12 of HB971 are effective as of July 1, 2024.
HB228, Revenue Laws Technical, Clarifying, & Administrative Changes, an act to make various technical, clarifying, and administrative changes to the revenue laws. Sections 2.1, 2.3, 7 and 9 are effective as of July 1, 2024.
SB319, Insurance Rev/Online Auctions/ Firefighters, an act to revise statutes related to captive insurance, to establish a procedure for remote bidding at a foreclosure sale, to permit health benefit plan sponsors to obtain consent to electronic mailing of required communications, and more. Sections 11.1-11.3 and 13 are effective as of July 1, 2024.
HB199, DMV Proposed Legislative Changes, an act to make various changes to the motor vehicle lien hearing notification, and service of process laws of the state as recommended by the Division of Motor Vehicles of the Department of Transportation, and to make other changes to laws related to transportation. Sections 3, 10, 13, 14, 20(a), (b), (d)-(g), 23, 25, 30 and 35 are effective as of July 1, 2024.
