In the August 1 edition of Macon Sense, an article by Dan Finnerty focused on Macon County beekeepers and current honey collection occurring throughout the county.

Alberto Hernandez, just one apiarist out of many in the area who oversees honey bee hives as a business, collected in the last few weeks between 600-700 gallons of honey from his 100 hives.
