Democratic women donate books to schools

The Democratic Women of Macon County recently donated books to local schools for grades 5th through 8th. Members of the group’s Community Outreach Committee reviewing the books are, (seated) Mary Judernatz and Rebecca Sexton; (standing, L-R) Linda Tyler, Joan Palmroos, and Paige Selking. “The books our group donated depict diverse characters, so that children of different races and backgrounds can read books about characters that are like them,” said Sexton.
