Dear Editor:
During our recent stay in Franklin, I was lucky enough to pick up a copy of your inaugural publication. I enjoyed it very much. Although only a seasonal visitor to the area, I was impressed with the “mission statement,” as articulated in Casey Wilson’s piece on page 14 (Oct. 12 edition). This type of publication is exactly what local communities need throughout the country. Unfortunately, the economic realities of the newspaper business these days do not make it easy. However, your organization appears to have the talent and experience to make it work, and I just wanted to congratulate you on the inaugural issue and wish you great success going forward.
Best wishes,
Jim Moran, Wellington, Fla.
